Description: MasterCard International
develops a benefits program each year, through which its
Platinum level Cardholders may obtain exclusive benefits
at hotels, restaurants, golf courses, spas and other attractive
destinations. For the purpose of promoting this program,
MasterCard produces a stylish booklet, an accompanying DVD
and a wrap-around packaging for distribution through MasterCard
issuing banks around the region.
Key Challenges: Being one
of the World's most recognized and trusted brands, it is
fundamentally important that all marketing communications
materials favorably reflect both the value of the brand
as well as the premier positioning of the status oriented
Platinum Card. Therefore, paper selection, quality control
mechanisms, and sampling at each stage were necessary to
ensure excellence. In addition, the fact that the facilities,
substrate and printing technique for production of the DVD
are quite different than that for the book and package printing
meant that careful consideration had to be given color control
and consistency.
Techniques Used: Offset Printing,
Silkscreen printing, DVD mastering, Perfect Binding, Shaped
Die Cutting, 5th color (Metallic), Hot foil stamping, Embossing,
Film Lamination, Glued Foam Disc , Velcro Closure, Hand
Assembly, Polybagging.
